On Love, Expectation, And Everlasting Hope

This is a series of pictographs I was shown whilst in China. It is part love story, part expectation, and part hope. Moving from left to right: The first shows a man and a woman meeting for the first time and experiencing mutual affinity (心心相印). The second depicts that their union is destined (一世情缘). The third shows both their marriage and women falling pregnant (喜结连理). The final pictograph represents hope – that they will be together forever ( 天长地久). Thanks for finding out what they meant and for the translation Sue.

Talk soon. Jason.
